Welcome to the HFP Annual Event'05

 
 

 

The European Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Technology Platform (HFP) attracted more than 400 participants to its Second Annual Event, which took place in Brussels on 17 and 18 March 2005 at the European Commission's Charlemagne Building in Brussels.

Event Objectives:

  1. Be a forum to inform and mobilise hydrogen stakeholders in view of the Strategic Research Agenda, Deployment Strategy and opportunities for their implementation in FP7.
  2. Foster dialog with the European Commission, National Ministries, Members of the European Parliament and Regional representatives.
  3. Review HFP achievements and integrate results of ongoing European and national projects in the Platform strategy.
  4. Review the status of the hydrogen debate and public activities at national level in certain European countries.

Programme

  • Day Event: European Commission, Charlemagne Building, Rue de la Loi 170, 1040 Brussels.
    o Keynote addresses from leading Government officials, Industry, Researchers and NGOs
    o Presentation and discussion of the Strategic Research Agenda and Deployment Strategy developed by the HFP
    o Presentations of key European and national projects addressing a wide variety of research and demonstration activities

  • Special Evening Programme on 17 March: Autoworld Museum, Place du Cinquantenaire

For the first time in Brussels, a prototype exhibition of innovative stationary applications and refuelling systems and demonstration of hydrogen fuel cell prototypes took place from the leading international car manufacturers on 17 March at the AutoWorld Museum in Brussels.

This was also an unique networking opportunity. Participants debate on the key outcomes
and priorities set out in the HFP Strategic Agenda and Deployment Strategy and benefited from
the prototype exhibition.
